I have been in the USA for almost 3 years. I had income in the UK in the form of child support which covered my payments. My ex has now lost his job and my payments have significantly been reduced so I am no longer able to make my payments. I did have some problems last year and had just about got myself back in order. My total debt is around 23,000.
Are you looking towards making an offer to your creditors? If so, then use the template letters available on this site to make offers to them.
If you were thinking of something along the lines of an IVA or bankruptcy over here, you will have to do something soon as you have to have been in this country during the last three years.
Hi If you have been resedent in the UK within the last three yeas then it may be possible to look into an IVA. You could also consider bankruptcy or a Debt Management Plan Regards
